  • To open dialogue and exchange expertise and knowledge among industrialists in both countries.

Through this analysis, our aim is to facilitate the development of relationship in the field of Commerce and Industry by highlighting to the authorities in both countries the concerns of the business community.

We see better understanding of each country as a foundation of friendship between Bahrain and Japan.  At Educational Committee, we would like to enhance such understanding by promoting something people here could read, listen, learn and/or study. Through such experiences, we would like to promote better understanding, which should contribute to continuous solid relationship between two countries.

We would also like to support private initiatives in educational front, i.e. ongoing contribution to Bahrain for over 20 years by Nomura Bahrain-Japan Friendship Fund to sponsor Japanese Language course.

MR. JASSIM ALSHIRAWI, HEAD OF THE BJBFS ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE

Energy is an essential element for humanity development. As coal has fed the industrial transformation and rapid economic growth in Europe and North America during the nineteenth century, energy from oil has pushed mankind to a more accelerated development during the twentieth century. However, burning coal or hydrocarbon fuels to harness its energy, results in undesirable emissions to the environment. Hence, with the global population growth, economic and industrial developments, it is of paramount importance that we use our energy resources efficiently and rationally, to assure its availability for future generations and protect our environment.

We aspire, through our ‘Energy & Environment Committee of The Bahrain-Japan Business & Friendship Society (BJBFS), to do our role in promoting understanding and disseminate information towards a better energy planning to conserve our resources and protect our environment. We aim to be the catalyst leading to an active and positive interaction between Japanese and Bahraini professionals, to foster cooperation in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, as well as strengthen cultural ties and trade and business support. We also hope to advance friendship between Bahraini and Japanese people, particularly making Japanese nationals residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain feel at home.

We reach out to any interested individual and seek their valuable voluntary participation in our Committee, to contribute toward achieving the above goals.
